Charlie Chaplin in his latest Essanay comedy,
„A Night in the Show,“ and Robert Warwick
in the first run feature, „The Flash in the Emerald,“
form a double bill of unusual interest which
is to be offered this week at the Garrick Theater.
This will be the first showing of the
Chaplin comedy in Los Angeles, and it is said to be even
better than the famous comedian‘s more recent
pictures. It takes him through all sorts of hilarious adventures,
theatrical and otherwise, and has more plot than
most of his successes. There is said to be a higher grade
of humor in it also, according to advance reports,
much of the slap stick comedy having been left out and new
fun-producing „business“ added.
