& Laughter aplenty, a touch of pathos, a taste of travel, and
a few patriotic screen punches gave variety and life
to the bill at the Rialto, New York, last week. „A Roadside
Impresario,“ starring George Beban as a wandering
Italian with a huge trained bear, was much appreciated. Charlie
Chaplin in „The Immigrant,“ and „The Land of the
Rising Sun,“ filled out an excellent program.

Editorial content. „If you are suffering from a rather common
complaint known as ,aspirations for screen honors,‘
and if your sleep is troubled by ambitions to be a motion
picture star, possibly the following instances in the
daily life of the stars at only one studio will have a tendency
to give you pause. Think of George Beban,
industriously turning flapjacks before a sizzling hot
fire and then being precipitated down a steep
snow covered bank upon the back of his talented neck.“ (...)
