Laughter is plenty, a touch of pathos, much patriotic
inspiration and a taste of travel are reflected from
the screen at the Rialto, Manhattan, this week. George Beban
in „A Roadside Impresario“ furnishes the dramatic
element, Charlie Chaplin in „The Immigrant“ supplies the
hilarity and „The Land of the Rising Sun“ provides
the scenic portion of the entertainment. (...)
Charlie Chaplin has never evolved a piece of nonsense
more consistently laughable then „The Immigrant.“
