Editorial content. „Karno‘s Comedy Co. is billed to appear
next week at the Colonial in The Wows Wows,
a new piece. The English organization, which last appeared
over here for William Morris (and was on the blacklist
when Percy G. Williams engaged it for his circuit) is again under
the management of Alf Reeves, brother of Billie
(The Drunk). Billie interested himself in the rebooking
of his brother‘s company by the United Offices.

* Das ist die Anzeige, die Billie Reeves Woche für Woche
in Variety schalten lässt. Der Mann legt Wert darauf
als „Der originale Betrunkene“ wahrgenommen zu werden.
Warum macht jemand sowas? Vielleicht weil er das
gar nicht ist? Tatsächlich hat ein anderer bei Karno mit der
Rolle vor ihm schon gepunktet. Der Entertainer
Billie Reeves ist der Bruder von Karno‘s US Tour Manager
Alf. Reeves. Und es ist Alf. Reeves, der im Oktober
1910 mit Charles Chaplin einen „originalen Betrunkenen“
präsentiert, der noch populärer sein wird als Billie
Reeves. Nur dass Chaplin sich von der Bühnenrolle auffällig
distanziert, nachdem er beim Film reüssiert.
