& D‘Arcy Gets $5,000
Hugh A. D‘ARCY, former publicity man and author of „The Face
on the Barroom Floor,“ now 75 years of age, has been
awarded a judgement of $5,000 in a suit he brought against
Oscar B. Brush. The plaintiff sued for personal injuries
received when he was knocked down by Brush‘s auto at Broadway
and 61st Street while on his way to the Greenroom Club.
The case came before a sheriff‘s jury
because the defendant did not answer the suit.
