& THIEF TAKES PICTURES FROM LOBBY TWICE

According to Manager Callan of the Plaza Theatre,

Bridgeport, Conn., somebody in this city is very

much impressed with the charming pictures of Mabel Normand,

the Keystone star.

A large hand-painted photograph of Miss Normand was

recently taken from the lobby of the theatre. This

is the second time a picture of Miss Normand disappeared

from the front of the Plaza.

& Matt Saunders, formerly in charge of S. Z. Poli‘s Wilkesbarre,

Pa., theater, and also of the Poli Theater, New Haven,

Conn., is now in charge of Poli‘s new theater at Bridgeport,

Conn. This is somewhat in the nature of an honor

for Mr. Sauders, as Mr. Poli‘s Bridgeport theater is considered

the finest and most modern house on this circuit, with

a seating capacity of 3,300. The new Poli is doing capacity

business with vaudeville and picture programs. The

Plaza Theater, of Bridgeport, is now managed by Mr. H.

Reichenbach, as Mr. Saunders cared for this house

until recently.

„The famous ,Drunk‘ comedian“

Editorial content. „PLAZA THEATRE

The Face On the Barroom Floor, another of those

side-splitting, house-crowding Keystone riots

with Charles Chaplin, the famous ,Drunk‘ comedian in their

principal role, will be one of the many attractive

features on the Plaza‘s program for the latter half of the week,

commencing with today‘s matinee. Chaplin has

a world of opportunity afforded him in this reel and it is a safe

bet that he doesn‘t let one chance slip by him.

Needless to say the Plaza is going to witness some

phenomenal business when this peerless

laugh-provoker appears on the screen.“ (...)

The Face on the Barroom Floor is

released by Keystone Aug. 10, 1914.
