Charlie Chaplin and Nat Goodwin sat in the anthracite belt
of the gallery in the midst of some dark and sinister
inhabitants of 135th Street, at the Harlem Sporting Club
last night.
The movie man, who started life as a pugilist and finished
his fistle career in two rounds, said that he wanted
to study some new falls.

Hotel Astor for a two weeks‘ visit. Chaplin coming
on business for his brother, Charlie Chaplin, the celebrated
movie actor.

New York picture fans who have laughed at the antics
of Charlie Chaplin of the moth-eaten mustache and
the disreputable clothes will have the first opportunity of seeing
the comedian in the flesh since he gained fame as a
screen actor tonight at the Hippodrome. Mr. Chaplin is in New York
on business, and the Dillingham offices finally succeeded
in persuading him to appear. He will conduct Sousa‘s Band as one
of his stunts and will no doubt do some plain and fancy
kicking through force of habit.

since his entrance into pictures two or more years ago. The
comedian came east to take up business matters and
to consult his brother and business confidant, Sid Chaplin,
formerly of the Keystone.“
