„To each house it proved a capacity drawing card“

Editorial content. „Three Washington Theatres Run

      ,The Floorwalker‘

Three of Washington‘s largest theatres ran Charlie

Chaplin in The Floorwalker as a first run on the

first day of release, and to each house it proved a capacity

drawing card.

This was done to demonstrate if it would be possible

to use extraordinary films in this manner with

a view of reducing the rental price. The theatres showing

this film were the Casino, Moore‘s Garden and

Loew‘s Columbia.“
