„Who stands without a peer“

Editorial Content. „Lehrman Starts Production Work.

      Henry Pathe Lehrman, who stands without a peer

as director and originator of his own type of comedy, erstwhile

director of the inimitable Ford Sterling, and formerly Mr.

Sterling‘s director in the Keystone Company, begins producing

comedies this week for the Universal program at the

Pacific Coast studios of the Universal.

      He will fill the position of supervising director for three

comedy companies, the products of which will be

released under the brand name, ,L. K. O.,‘ meaning ,Lehrman Company.‘ Abraham Sterns, brother of Julius Sterns,

and who has had considerable experience in the business end

of motion picture manufacturing, has been chosen

as Mr. Lehrman‘s business manager.

      Mr. Lehrman brought with him from New York three actors,

as well known stars, who will play the leading roles

in his first company. They are: Billie Ritchie, English comedian;

Henry Bergman, well known character man, and Getrude

Selby, famous as a vaudeville artist.“
