The Vagabond Clippings 8/55
Evening Public Ledger, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, July 8, 1916.
Palace Theatre, auditorium with screen, Philadelphia,
undated, Irvin R. Glazer Theater
Collection, Athenaeum of Philadelphia
& PALACE – Three big attractions
will be provided for patrons of the Palace Theatre during
present week. The main feature Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday will be the inimitable John Barrymore
in a play of much timeliness, „The Man From
Mexico.“ (...) Added pictures will include Charlie Chaplin in his
latest laugh production medium, „The Vagabond.“
The great comedian in this is not seen as a typical road hobo,
but he is rather a cast-off and child of misfortune,
whose whimsical misadventures get him inextricably mixed up. (...)
On Saturday only there will be a repetition of Charlie
Chaplin in „The Vagabond.“
