is neither deaf, dumb, dead nor Dutch. He is
undoubtedly the funniest of film comics – so we fail to appreciate
the importance of proving whether he was the ,original‘
drunk, comedian, moustache-wearer, cane-swinger, etc., etc.,
or not.“
