INTERVIEWS always are productive of one or two
impressions. You either get the impression that
the interviewed one is a ,horn tooter‘ or a ,soft pedaler.‘
My impression of Mack Sennett, creator of
Keystone comedies, one of the founders of the new Triangle
Film Company, and the man who has made more
people laugh by proxy than any other living individual, is that
he is a ,soft pedaler.‘“ (...)
„...and, lastly but not least, because he discovered,
tutored, and set upon the pedestal of fame the
irresistible Charlie Chaplin.“ (...)
„,I want something about how you developed such stars
as Chaplin and Sterling.‘ Three minutes of profound
