      Chaplin Pix Opens Oct. 15; Two-a-day, $2.20 Policy

      at Former;  Continuous, 75c-$1.10 at Latter

      World premiere of Charles Chaplin‘s The Great Dictator

has been set for the Astor and Capitol Theaters,

Broadway, on Oct. 15, according to a joint announcement

yesterday by Nicholas M. Schenck, president of

Loew‘s, and Murray Silverstone, top executive of United

Artists.“ (...)

      „Deal for the two theaters was negotiated and

signed by Harry Gold, vice-president of UA, and Joseph Vogel,

vice-president of Loew‘s.“ (...)

     The Great Dictator world premiere is in New York Oct. 15, 1940

      at the Capitol and Astor Theatres.
