seem to be spatting like a couple of strange cats. Latest

performance that has Hollywood giggling at them

was staged right out in the open, in the Brown Derby. Charlie

and Paulette, who‘d just gotten gossiped about

because Paulette left Charlie‘s yacht, were having a make-up

dinner or something. During the first two courses,

they talked; during the next, they yelled; during the remainder,

neither said a blankety-blank word to the other.

Charlie is funny on the screen, too.

been the bride of Charles Chaplin for more than a year!

      Their confidante is Randolph Churchill, son of Britain‘s

Chancellor of the Exchequer, who has been visiting here for

several days. He said:

      ,I am not at liberty to quote Chaplin directly, but I can

definitely say that they ARE married.‘“
