Comedy of Dictators
After many months of preparation, Charlie Chaplin‘s
travesty on dictators, The Great Dictator, is tentatively
scheduled to be released early next month. In this scene
from the picture, Charlie, who portrays the title role,
climaxes a rousing speech with left-handed salute. The
double cross appears as Chaplin‘s party insignia.
