Editorial content. „Scenes From Charlie Chaplin‘s

      Comedy of Dictators

      After many months of preparation, Charlie Chaplin‘s

travesty on dictators, The Great Dictator, is tentatively

scheduled to be released early next month. In this scene

from the picture, Charlie, who portrays the title role,

climaxes a rousing speech with left-handed salute. The

double cross appears as Chaplin‘s party insignia.

      Here Hynkel, The Great Dictator,listens to his friends,

maybe, and fellow dictator Nappolony (Jack

Oakie, right), as they talk at the great state reception.“ (...)
