The Property Man Clippings 22/27

Topeka State Journal, Topeka, Kansas., June 28, 1915

The Property Man Scenes

& The Cozy theatre, Topeka, Kans., used cutouts for its marquee

display for First National‘s East is West. The love boat

was featured. A compo-board cutout mounted was so arranged

that the canopy served as the boat‘s deck, on which the

group of characters stood. This is a rather neat and simple means of adapting the scene illustrated in the 24-sheet.

& THE SORT OF HATS THEY WEAR AT THE CROSSROADS

Ruth Wright, of the Cozy Theatre, Topeka, persuaded

a milliner to make a display of the last word in fall hats with

a background of tall buildings. The street does not

look like New York, but the window looks unlike any other in town

and it SOLD. That‘s the idea.
