„We may look forward confidently“

Editorial content. „Charlie Chaplin has almost completed

another Essanay comedy. It is called Charlie Chaplin‘s Burlesque

of Carmen. We are rather sorry to learn from the press

agent that ,there is less of the slapstick variety of fun and more

of the subtle points of of genuine humor,‘ and yet we feel

that even in the face of this announcement we may look forward

confidently to a humorous encounter between Chaplin

and the bull.“
