Dough and Dynamite Clippings 15/50

Galveston Daily News, Galveston, Texas, October 25, 1914.

CRYSTAL THEATRE, GALVESTON, TEXAS.

Hodkins‘ Lyric Vaudeville Circuit has booked

attractions in the Crystal, Galveston,

ever since the house opened, over a year ago.

It is said that within three months after

Geo. K. Jorgensen began doing business, opposition was killed

off and that in spite of repeated efforts to establish

other theatres for vaudeville, the experiments have all failed.

Five acts are played, three shows a day being

the policy. The theatre, located in Tremont Street, one of Galveston‘s best thoroughfares, seats 1,100 and is enjoying

great prosperity.
