„Packed to the roof“
Editorial content. „THE ORPHEUM
The act that everybody has looked forward to for
a long time, Karno‘s London Pantomime Co.
in A Night in an English Music Hall, will at last be here next
week at the Orpheum, and it will, without a doubt,
receive a rousing reception when it makes its re-appearance
on Monday afternoon.
Nobody will forget ,the drunk‘ or the ,inebriated swell,‘
as it is the chief character and played by Charles
Chaplin, who has been with the company on both of its former
visits to Vancouver, it leaves no room for improvement.
The same company that played A Night in a London Club,
and the Music Hall will be here intact and there
will be many old friends to welcome back. It is a foregone
conclusion that the Orpheum will be packed to the
roof at every one of the Karno performances next week.“ (...)

From clippings of the Museum of Modern
Art, New York, newspaper or date of publishing unidentified,

„It is an indescribable performance to anyone who has not
been in London, but it is a laughtermaker to anyone
who has a sense of humor.“
