& MABEL NORMAND, the beautiful and vivacious lady
of the well known Keystone Co., is a girl
of versatility and many accomplishments. Miss Normand,
before entering the pictures, was recognized
as one of the world‘s famous woman swimmers. She has several medals and silver cups, presented to her for her prowess
in the water. She is a graceful and daring
high diver, and has had several tempting offers to appear
in vaudeville in a swimming speciality. Miss Normand
is also an accomplished horse woman, all of which is solemnly
asserted by the veracious young man, presiding
over the destinies of the publicity forum in the Keystone Co.

& THE films that the Keystone Comedy Co. are
turning out have filled a long felt want in the motion picture
game. Exhibitors have begged their exchanges for
good comics. Their patrons have looked in vain on the screen
for them, and the manufacturers have worked long
and hard to turn out real comedy pictures. Under the direction
of Mack Sennett, that inimitable mimic and master
producer, and with the able assistance of Mabel Normand
and Ford Sterling, the Keystone Company is making
a brand of comedy that has set a new standard for this class
of films. The stories are original, full of comic situations
and fast moving, while Mabel Normand, Ford Sterling and
Mack Sennett dress and interpret the eccentric
characters in a most laughable manner.

„But i ran away from them“
Editorial content. „L. A. Picture Gossip.
Los Angeles, April 9.
Mack Sennett is crazy for me to tell you about the
,fishing‘ film he did, and Pathe Lehrman is just as
anxious to tell the public how he trained Ford Sterling for
Hebrew character parts, but i ran away from them,
saying I could‘t star Keystone any more.“
