FUN runs riot at the Grand this week, when Fred Karno‘s
A Night in an English Music Hall is presented
by a company of good English comedians. The acting
of Charles Chaplin as the ,inebriated swell‘ and
Mike Arthur, the bad boy from eton school, is especially
praiseworthy, though all turn out a series
of screamingly funny stunts. Stage setting for this act represents
the typical London music hall, with boxes ranged
about the stage, in which men are gathered to witness the
variety show of the evening, which is presented
upon the center of the platform. In no way does the act fall
