& Although capacity houses greeted all performances
at the Empress this week, Manager Shields
anticipates just as heavy patronage during the coming
week, for a particularly strong aggregation
of acts has been billed. First and foremost is Fred Karno‘s
London Pantomime company which returns with
a bigger and greater laughing hit than on their previous
visit when they created such a furore. Their present
offering is entitled A Night in a London Club. Seeing it, one
immediately recalls the Pickwick club. But the
mere announcement of the coming of this great aggregation
of laughter-producers should be sufficient to arouse
considerable interest.
