Dear Miss Libbey: Do you object giving a man the benefit

of your wisdom. This is my case: I have a sweetheart,

a charming girl whom I am strongly inclined to marry. Of late

she has developed a fad which causes me to doubt

whether she would make a man like me – who is thoroughly

domesticated – a good wife. She has developed

a craze to attend the moving-picture shows every night

in the week – rain or shine. If I refuse to accompany

her, she starts off alone, remaining, as the old saying goes,

till the last dog is hung. What am I to do?

      TROUBLED MECHANIC.

The craze to go to the shows will soon wear itself

off. Be patient with her. Refuse to accompany

her. Tell her you intend to call on some young lady who

enjoys entertaining you in her home. I think

this would bring your sweetheart to her senses. She has

evidently a restless disposition; this usually

accompanies a loving heart. I am sure all will end well. Do not

quarrel with her.                                    LAURA JEAN LIBBEY.
