      Shoulder Arms, Chaplin‘s latest comedy, has taken

Chicago by storm, paralleling in its effects, in a way,

the first reliable news received announcing the signing of the

armistice „over there.“

a man when he books their „Shoulder Arms,“ with Charlie

Chaplin, that it will break all records. The wager

is usually a silk shirt to cost 410.00 – this is the solution

of why Weiss has a collection of silk shirts that

would make any of the big haberdashers‘ of the country

stock look sick, and accounts for the blinding

colors seen in the Central Film Chicago office every day.

      Manager Harry Weiss of Central Film, distributors of the

First National product, says the demand for Charlie

Chaplin‘s new comedy, „Shoulder Arms,“ is so great that

twenty-eight prints will be put to work in this territory.

Mr. Weiss claims that this sets a new record for the number

of prints of one subject in Chicago and vicinity.
