Editorial content. „Charlie Chaplin Goes Over the Top

      CHARLIE CHAPLIN, in a screen version of the war, is booked

to arrive at about the same time as the Fourth Liberty

Loan Drive. Indeed, it is rumored, and not denied, that Secretary

McAdoo had something important to say as to Charlie‘s

appearance in khaki. From the dinky derby and the bamboo

cane to the tin helmet and the army rifle is a transition

which this page graphically illustrates. The name of this rift

in the war clouds is Shoulder Arms.“
