Charlie Chaplin is not a million-dollar-a-year comedian
after all. His contract with First National called for
more than a million for eight pictures within a year, but the
comedian has only produced two, for which he has
received slightly less than a quarter of a million dollars.
He was handed a check last week for Shoulder
Arms, the second picture.“
