& Chaplin at Garrick
Charlie Chaplin, the man who keeps greased the funnybone
of the world, is the attraction at the Garrick this coming
week in his newest Mutual-Chaplin picture, the last of the famous
$670,000 series. „The Adventurer“ is its name. As its name
implies, in this picture, Charlie has all sorts of comical adventures,
which are guaranteed to keep the audiences in an uproar
from the first foot of film to the last.

„GARRICK
Charlie Chaplin in his newest Mutual-Chaplin picture,
The Adventurer, is creating a lot of excitement
at the Garrick. Charlie has not lost any of the „tricks of the trade“
and this new picture, which is the last of the famous
$670,000 series, is just as big a scream as any of the previous
productions. As the name suggests, in this picture
he has all sorts of comical adventures and some remarkably
clever situations are screened.“ (...)
„If you like Chaplin you are bound to laugh at this, his last
feature for the Mutual.“
Garrick Theatre, Broadway at Eighth Street, Los Angeles.
The Adventurer is
released by Mutual October 22, 1917.
