in sunny California,“ said the comedian. „It was

beginning to get frosty when I left New York and I can‘t tell you

„I have been away from the studio so long

Editorial content. „Charlie to Get to Work

From now on Charlie Chaplin says he is going

to concentrate all of his attention on pictures.

He says he is through with the social whirl and intimates

that he has in mind the making of a serious

picture after he finishes the contract he is now under to supply

two-reelers. The production of The Kid, said

to be the best picture he has yet filmed, paves the way,

his friends assert, to the serious pictures

he believes he is capable of turning out successfully.

,It is difficult to begin working again,‘ Charlie

said recently. ,I have been away from the studio so long.

It is more than a year since I have been on a set

– that is to work.‘“
