& CHAPLIN BACK

      IN „FUNNIEST EVER“

      AT THE STRAND

Charlie Chaplin‘s newest and best picture, „The

Kid,“ will be shown at the Strand Theatre all this week. It is one

of the funniest six-reel features Mr. Chaplin has ever

made – just one laugh after another. If you intend to go, go

early to avoid the rush. The first performance starts

at 11 A. M., while the last begins at 11 P. M.

The funniest thing in the picture is when Charlie dreams

of heaven. His side partner is Jack Coogan, the

five-year-old boy, who is a miniature Chaplin. Mr. Chaplin has

been away from the screen for nearly one year. He comes

back and takes the city by storm.

„A long line of people waiting at the box office“

Editorial content. „THEATRICAL NOTES“ (...)

„The Strand Theatre will open at 10.30 A. M. daily this week,

and begin its last performance at 11 P. M. Charlie

Chaplin‘s latest comedy, „The Kid,“ is the reason. The extra

show was added to accommodate the waiting crowds

Sunday evening, and the early opening yesterday morning

found a long line of people waiting at the box office.“

Strand Theatre, Broadway at 47th Street, New York.

The Kid is pre-released by First National

in New York February 7, 1921.
