The Kid Clippings 36/268

Carl Wilmore, Boston Post, Boston, Massachusetts, April 4, 1920.

At the age of 12 Mildred was one of the best child actresses

appearing before the working eye of the camera. Here

she appears in „Pride of the South.“ Always frail and elf-like,

note her smallness in comparison with the chap in the

soft hat and flowing tie.

      „,Let‘s stick to Pocatello.‘

,Oh, yes. Well, once I got a good switching. We were

going to visit the Indian reservation hear there. I had

a brand new blue silk parasol. Of course, I had to stumble

going up some stairs and I fell through the parasol

and ruined it. I got a good switching that time.‘

,I was always crazy about children,‘ Mildred rambled

on. And dogs – I was always playing with some dog

or other. Even today I hope maybe I‘ll have another baby.

I‘d love to. Charlie cried awfully, when our baby died.‘

      ,Did you leave Pocatello?‘“
