Los Angeles – Mildred Harris Chaplin has filed suit for
separation from Charlie Chaplin alleging cruelty. –
Mrs Chaplin is in New York, stopping at Chatham Hotel. She will
stay here for several months and make one picture in the east.

Los Angeles, Cal., Aug. 3. – Charlie Chaplin, against whom
a divorce action charging cruelty was filed yesterday
by Mildred Harris Chaplin, had not been located early today
by interviewers who had sought him since his wife‘s
move became known.
Friends of Chaplin pointed out that when Mrs.
Chaplin recently gave out an interview telling
of her husband‘s alleged neglect, he had made a general
denial of her accusations.
