Los Angeles is not being big enough, apparently, to hold
both Charlie Chaplin and his wife, Mildred Chaplin,
it begins to look as if New York weren‘t, either, according
to hot shot being exchanged between the
two in the eastern city, as recorded in the press.
All the excitement arose over Mrs.
Chaplin‘s attempting to restrain Mr. Chaplin from
disposing of his picture, The Kid. At any rate,
Mr. Chaplin has asserted right out in print that she is.“ (...)
