yesterday, with Mrs. Mildred Harris Chaplin once again occupying

attorney, declared that his client ,wouldn‘t give her
50 per cent of anything.‘ Mr. Burkan ,pooh-poohed‘ Mrs.
Chaplin‘s fifty-fifty proposition generally, asserting
that the community laws of California, under which she makes
