      Charlie Chaplin, since he has been in New York, has

been ducking process servers like he used to duck

custard pies. Last week he made his getaway from the Ritz

Carlton Hotel after nine days captivity, but after

he played the big town with Brother Sid and rode in a taxi

all night, failing to locate a place to lay his head,

he accepted the kind hospitality of the chauffeur and slept

with the chauffeur‘s kid brother in Trinity Street, the

Bronx, N. Y. He told the chauffeur who he was, etc., and when

the kid brother, who was a rabid Chaplin fan, awoke

to go to school his ma conveyed the news to him that he had

slept alongside of Charlie. Now the kid is the pet of the

neighborhood. His name is Willie Weinstock.“ (...)
