I was a bigger star before I became known

      ,I was fast becoming known to the American

public as ,Charlie‘s wife‘ instead of a star in my own right.

Professionally, I am glad to be definitely separated

from the name of Chaplin, although legally I still remain

as Mrs. Chaplin.‘

Alexandria today, Mildred Harris-Chaplin, divorced

scarcely 24 hours ago from the world-famous comedian,

Charles Spencer Chaplin, declared that she is
