„Drank buttermilk and ate a sardine sandwich“
Editorial content. „Financial Note.
Eva Tanguay and Charlie Chaplin, two of the highest-salaried
actors in the world, happened both to be at the Alexandria
Grill following the Tanguay performance at Clune‘s Auditorium
last night. Spectators watched with rapt interest the
supper orders which the waiters brought the two. Charlie Chaplin
drank buttermilk and ate a sardine sandwich, and
Miss Tanguay drank a glass of buttermilk, minus the sandwich.“
