& Big Clientele Is Consistently Taking Mutuals

Consistent standard of productions and „service beyond

the film“ is claimed by Mutual to have developed

a clientele which books that company‘s pictures year

in and year out.

      G. W. Ziegenfelder, manager of the Princess theatre

in Piqua, Ohio, is one of „Mutual‘s family.“ In a recent

letter to Mutual, he says:

„I have been using Mutual productions ever since they

were first released and I have found them good,

wholesome, clean comedies and dramas that are acceptable

to ladies, gentlemen and children, besides stars

that are box office magnets themselves.

& Chaplin Film „Ruins“ Theater

The Mutual Film Corporation has received the following

letter, which has been handed to the legal department for

settlement:

      Princess Theater

                                                 Piqua, Ohio, January 2, 1917

Mr. D. J. Sullivan, Mutual Film Corporation, Chicago, Ill.:

We presented your picture entitled „The Rink,“

featuring Charles Chaplin in our theater last night. Persistent

laughter and shouting on the part of the audience

brought down most the house. The plaster fell off the ceiling

and part of the floor sagged.

We have been showing pictures may years without

loss of life or damage to property. The Rink has

proved a menace to real estate improvement, and the result

of one day‘s run has cost us considerable outlay

in repairs. We enclose plasterer‘s and carpenter‘s bills.

We would appreciate a check by return mail. –

Yours sincerely, Manager Princess Theater.
