country Mme. Bertha Kalich in a motion picture version

of Marta of the Lowlands. (...)

A new Keystone comedy, scenic and scientific studies

will also be shown. The feature of the Weekly

Topical Review is the fifth installment of European war pictures,

taken on the field by the Strand Theatre‘s special

representative. A musical programme will be offered by the concert

orchestra under the direction of Carl Edouarde and

the Strand Opera Quartet.

that, from April 11 to October 11, 1,500,963

tickets were sold. Captain Holst and officers of the

Scandinavian-American liner Helig Olav will

attend the performance tonight. Captain Holst brought over

the war films now being shown at the Strand.

„A new Keystone comedy“

Editorial content. „The film presentation of Where the Trail

Divides, in which Robert Edeson will be seen in his

original rôle of ,How‘ Lander, will take place at the Strand

Theatre today, and the play will remain the balance

of the week. The production was made in California under

the direction of Cecil B. De Mille. It contains over 300

scenes. Another feature of the Strand‘s picture bill will be the

seventh lot of war pictures taken on the European

battlefields. A new Keystone comedy and travel and scientific

pictures complete the film end of the entertainment.

The Strand orchestra, under the direction of Carl Edouarde,

will present a programme of classical and popular

selections, and the vocal numbers will be rendered by the

members of the Strand Opera Quartet.“
