& The Rialto Theatre offering in the
way of photodrama is a Bluebird picture, „Polly Redhead,“
adapted from the „Pollyooly“ stories by Edgar Jepson.
It serves to introduce Ella Hall as a new star in a dual role.
„Polly Redhead“ is after the manner of „The Prince
and the Pauper“ and tells of a twelve-year-old girl who is
exchanged for her double. Miss Hall plays both parts
and imparts a youthful charm to the picture.
Charlie Chaplin in „Easy Street“ is the comedy attraction.
E. Alexander Powell, war correspondent, this
week describes his experiences on the Italian front.
The Rialto musical programme is of equal or
better quality than the photodramatic and alone would be sufficient entertainment for an ordinary evening.
