In place of putting decorations in the lobby, the Aster, Minneapolis,
put their display for Hodkinson‘s „Cameron on the Royal
Mounted“ on the canopy, where it could be seen for blocks
in either direction. This shows what good use
can be made of a canopy in advertising an attraction.

Mayor Nye Issues Order Prohibiting „Improper Diversions“
in Downtown Minneapolis (...)
„Under this order ,Charlie Chaplin‘ contests such as took
place in front of the Lyric theater, street speaking
during business hours, costumed advertising men or sandwich
men and parades of all kinds, are prohibited,“ said
the Mayor yesterday, amplifying his order. „Minneapolis
is no longer a village.“

part of a released convict who starts out to make

and an all-star cast of comedians.
