„Most highly amusing”

Comedy, To Be Distributed By Alco Film Co.“ (...)

„That the Alco concern, under its new board

of directors and with their new policy, means to fortify its clients

with an absolute money attracting program, was evidenced

this week when announcement was made that Ad. Kessel,

of the N. Y. M. P. Co., and Mr. Seely, of the Alco, had arranged

to release the great comedy, with Marie Dressler, as a regular

unit on the Alco program.“

„Tillie‘s Punctured Romance, in which Miss Dressler

and Charles Chaplin played the leading roles. had undoubtedly

caused more comment in the industry than any other

film within remembrance. Mack Sennett, the director, considers

it his best work, and authorities claim it to be the most

highly amusing comedy film ever produced.“ (...)
