Charlies Kopf ziert den Beitrag. Titel: „Chaplin
& „Repeaters“ see Chaplin twice at Apollo Theater
Charles Chaplin in his newest and best Essanay
comedy, „Work,“ is proving himself to be such a good drawing
card that Manager Anderson yesterday arranged
to hold this film the entire week. This two-reel Chaplin comedy
has kept the Apollo packed to capacity since Sunday.
However, the big feature will be changed today, as usual. The
feature will be another famous Big 4, „The Eagle‘s Nest,“
a six-reeler with the famous star, Edwin Ardin, in the leading role.
Those who have already seen Chaplin in Work will
no doubt enjoy a second look at it when they see „The Eagle‘s
Nest.“ In the past two days there have been several
repeaters (people who come back to see the same show
over again) at the Apollo just to see the Chaplin film.

& Glad News for You
I‘ve fixed it up with this fellow Chaplin so he will remain
at my theater all the rest of the week in his latest
comedy – Work. Two reels of grouch-killing, worry-chasing,
hilarious fun – Absolutely first run and something
new, it will almost make a blind man laugh. It won‘t hurt to see
it the second time. My new feature is a big 6-reel Big 4 –

Gerahmt mit Charlies Kopf. „Erfreuliche Nachricht für Sie.“
Erneut pflegt Apollo-Manager A. C. Anderson
die persönliche Anrede: „Ich habs geregelt mit diesem
Burschen Chaplin, also bleibt er in meinem
Theater für den Rest der Woche in seiner neuesten
Komödie – „Work“ – Nörgeleien tötende zwei
Filmrollen. Absolut erstmalig gezeigt und etwas Neues. Bringt
einen blinden Mann fast zum Lachen. Schadet nicht
sie ein zweites Mal zu sehen.“
& It Is „Work“
By Jove! It´s our old friend Chawlie Chaplin, in his latest
comedy, a six act riot of fun compressed into 2 reels.
This is the first Chaplin release in months and is absolutely
first run in this city.
The program at the Apollo for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
is one of the biggest attractions ever shown at that popular
photoplay house. Manager Anderson has arranged to show The
Last Chapter, a thrilling tale of love, romance, and adventure,
in five big reels, along with the latest of the new Charlie Chaplin
comedy releases, entitled Work. This latest comedy
has just been released and Mr. Anderson has contracted
for it at an enormous film rental. Mr. Anderson has
arranged to show all of the new Charlie Chaplin releases, which
come every three weeks. They will all be run along with
the regular big Metro and Big Four features at no advance
in prices, notwithstanding the fact that Mr. Anderson
pays an unprecedented price.

Work läuft zusammen mit The Last Chapter, der fünfaktigen
Romanverfilmung mit Carlile Backwell in der Hauptrolle,
„a story of love, romance and adventure“.
A. C. Anderson, der Manager des Apollo, empfiehlt das
Programm in persönlicher Anrede: „Ich will,
dass Sie alle dies sehen. Die beste Show in der Stadt.“
