& Charles Chaplin has nearly completed

another Essanay-Chaplin comedy and it ill be released shortly.

The title is „Charlie Chaplin‘s Burlesque on Carmen,“

in two acts. Again Chaplin is found in an entirely new role.

There is less of the slap stick variety and more

of the subtle points of genuine humor.

& When Geraldine Farrar, the great diva of the

Metropolitan Opera House, made her photodramatic debut

in Jesse L. Lasky‘s production of „Carmen,“

screenfolk from near and far did their best to rival the great

prima donna. The ridiculousness of their efforts

is summed up into the last great effort, that of Charley Chaplin.

„You are sure to find a surprise and a most agreeable one“

Editorial content. „BURLESQUE ON

      CHAPLIN STUNT

He is Now Engaged in Making Mirthful

      Film Version of „Carmen“

      Charles Chaplin has recently completed

another great Essanay-Chaplin

comedy and it will be released shortly.

It is Charlie Chaplin‘s Burlesque on Carmen, and is in two

acts. Those who have seen the production

as far as it has gone declare that it is even funnier

than his previous mirth producers.

Critics state that Chaplin seems to grow funnier

with each picture he makes.

This is because Chaplin always has something

new. His variety of fun seems unlimited.

You go to a show and expect to see Mr.

Chaplin as you last saw him. You are

surprised to see him in an entirely new role.

But you are never disappointed, for

each time he brings into play those inherent fun making

qualities that set you into roars of laughter.

Watch for his latest comedy. You are sure to find

a surprise and a most agreeable one.“
