in A Night in an English Music Hall are making a veritable
laugh factory of the Empress this week, where this
aggregation of fun makers headlines the current bill. Charles
Chaplin as the ,souse‘ in the skech offers a
characterization that one seldom sees equalled on the
stage. He is one of the best known of European
comedians, and, as most of his work in the sketch is
pantomime, is most effective.“
