The Gold Rush Clippings 149/363

Picture-Play, New York, May 1925.

Charlie Chaplin and Georgia Hale – also his cane,

mustache and big shoes – in „The Gold Rush.“

The only thing that hasn‘t been rushed is the picture which he has

been making and re-making for a year. Part of the

re-making was due to the supplanting of Lita Grey, Charlie‘s

girl-bride, by Georgia as his leading lady.

„The breath-taking screen history of Georgia Hale

Editorial content. „Starting as an unknown

in The Salvation Hunters, then signed by Douglas Fairbanks,

and immediately thereafter drafted by Charles

Chaplin for The Gold Rush, is the breath-taking screen

history of Georgia Hale.“
