      NOW AT THE KINEMA.

Charlie Chaplin‘s first venture into the field of multiple-reel comedies, „The Kid,“ is showing at the Kinema Theater.

It is representative of the cleverest comedy talent. Throughout,

Chaplin is supported by little Jackie Coogan, who has

overnight become a small sensation in screen circles. Charlie

has a story of unusual heart interest. Laughter mingles

with the pathos in the tale of the little orphan adopted by Charlie

the tramp. He raises the child until we see the duo

plying their trade, that of repairing broken windows. Charlie

has trained his ward in the art of breaking windows

and then nonchalantly saunters past and works his trade.

The baby is his very life and he gives „the kid“ all

the love of a mother and father.
