„And now comes Benjamin J. Rich

Editorial content. „Chaplin Offends Lawyers;

      Peace of Haven Menaced

      Charlie Chaplin, pie promoter par excellence, one

of the most filmed and famous of picture artists, sought

Salt Lake as as refuge. Now arises the question, has he fund it?

      Charlie‘s own declaration on the subject is that

Charles poured forth his lament. It appears, so Mr.

Rich stated, that certain unnamed lawyers, objecting to the

manner in which the comedian had characterized

the profession, intend to bring suit against him for libel,

Charlie being alleged to have them to an untold

degree.

      Mr. Rich, making gestures about the majesty of the

profession and the rude manner in which a mere

film actor had treated its members, declared that Charlie‘s

peace in his Salt Lake refuge is going to be

considerably disturbed.“ (...)
