Charlie Chaplin, film comedian, who left Los Angeles
incognito after being sued for divorce by his wife Mrs. Mildred
Harris Chaplin, yesterday declared there is no possibility
of a reconciliation, says a special dispatch to the Times from
New York, where Chaplin is now.
During a dinner with friends at Delmonico‘s, he told
the party he went East to get away from the legal
red tape with which his wife‘s lawyers in Los Angeles were
