& John R. Freuler – the latest photograph of the president
of the Mutual Film Corporation, taken in his suite at the
Chicago executive offices of the corporation. The president,
by way of keeping close to every phase of business,
has the newest model of the most scientific thing in cameras,
standing as a decoration in his private office.

Charlie Chaplin writes most of his own scenarios.
And mostly he writes them in the dead of night.
Having just finished „Easy Street,“ Chaplin is working day
and night on anew scenario. A friend met him
at 10 o‘clock the other morning. The comedian was weary-eyed
and worn, having spent the nocturnal hours delving
for ideas. He was on his way to breakfast, having eaten
nothing since noon the day before.

Predicts Big Year
Declaring that while last year had been a banner one
for film producers and players, next year will see
greater prosperity for the film industry, John R. Freuler,
president of the Mutual Film corporation, said
that the motion picture industry is now upon a solid basis.
Mr. Freuler is guest at the Alexandria hotel, where
he will stay for several weeks to make arrangements for
film productions of his various companies for
next season.“
