      THEIR SILENCE STILL GOLDEN

      Photo. Charlie Chaplin in „City Lights,“ still relies upon

the art of pantomime for his characterizations.

      DESPITE the popularity of sound films, all Hollywood has

not gone talkie. A number of players have so far not

become vocal on the screen and seem to show no inclination

to venture from behind from behind their wall of silence.

It will be interesting to note whether or not their success continues,

now that sound has become so universal. Many people,

however, contend that the mute production is enjoying a revival

now.“
